Snuggles
Snuggles was born under a house belonging to an elderly couple in Venice. The first time we saw Snuggles we couldn’t believe our eyes. This tiny kitten was completely dehydrated, covered in fleas, and her eyes were so badly infected that they were sealed shut. She was so weak that she could barely lift her head. Snuggles is now safe in her new home and couldn't be happier!
BooBoo Kitty
After her owner passed away, BooBoo Kitty was discovered locked away in her owner's apartment, left to fend for herself. Before she could be sent to the pound, Voice For The Animals stepped in and found a foster home for her. After several weeks in foster care, BooBoo Kitty has been adopted! She has made herself completely comfortable with her new family!
Lucy

LUCY was rescued from the streets of Venice where she was owned by a very abusive man. When we first saw her, she was limping badly, trying to keep up with him. Suddenly, right in front of us, he turned and started kicking her. She cried out in pain as her legs bucked. We immediately confronted him and demanded that he give us the dog. He refused and tried to pull her away, but she was in too much pain to walk. As luck would have it, some of his friends came by and he was momentarily distracted. We used the opportunity to grab Lucy, put her in the back seat of the car and take off. After having surgery, she is in her new home with her new dad who plays with her and enjoys every minute of her company.

Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption
Our Rescue, Rehabilitation and
Adoption Program was created as a safety net for elderly
companion animals in jeopardy reported to our Animal
Assistance Hotline. Although we always try to help
people continue to care for their companion animals,
there are times when that is impossible. The cats and
dogs we take in are given medical attention and
rehabilitation. While awaiting adoption, they are housed
in local kennels or foster homes and are advertised on
our specialized
Petfinder website and in local newspapers. They are
also shown at our weekly adoptions.
People interested in adopting one of our animals are asked to fill out a
pre-adoption form. The adoption coordinator reviews the
application, then conducts a phone interview and a home
check. When an animal is adopted, the new guardian signs
an adoption agreement, which states that an animal must
be returned to Voice for the Animals if the guardian is
unable to keep him/her at any time in the future.

Honey & Cinnamon
Honey was found on the streets of Los Angeles. She was trying to take care of her son, Cinnamon, by eating out of trash cans. We don't know how they came to that pass, but we do know that an angel rescued them and brought them to us. After a few weeks living in foster care, Honey & Cinnamon are now living in a permanent home with their brother Jojo!
Norlins
Norlins was found on the streets of New Orleans. With the help of many volunteers, we were able to rescue animals from the devestation of Huricane Katrina. Norlins is just one of many animals who were found without owners. He was brought to California and now enjoys the good life with a loving family.
Lexi
Lexi is a beautiful linx point Siamese, who was rescued from the shelter. You wouldn't know it to look at her, but she was so sick, she was on an IV and so weak she couldn't lift her head. With the help of Voice For The Animals and her loving Foster parents, Lexi made a full recovery. Here she is with her new owner. She's made herself very comfortable in her new home.
Tyson
Tyson was found in the shelter. He had been sitting there for two weeks with a shattered leg and was given no medical attention, not even pain killers. When the shelter finally decided to scan him, they found a microchip. They called Tyson’s previous guardians, who said they didn’t want him any more and to just euthanize him. After all the years of love and loyalty that Tyson gave his family, Voice for the Animals felt Tyson deserved better. We took Tyson to a skilled surgeon, who performed the very difficult surgery of putting his leg back together. Tyson’s expensive medical bills were paid by Crossroads Middle School students, who held bake-sales to help him out in his hour of need. Tyson now lives a healthy life in a great new home.
Honeybear and Cinnamon
Honeybear and Cinnamon were recently adopted and are now enjoying life together with their new loving owners!
These are just a few of the stories that Voice For The Animals encounters each and every day.
